Celtic are set to sign Greg Taylor from Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock in the summer transfer window, according to BBC Sport.

It has been reported that the left-back will switch from Killie to the Bhoys in the next 24 hours.

The report has also claimed that talks between Celtic and Kilmarnock are at an advanced stage.

Celtic had a bid for the Scotland international turned down in the week, according to BBC Sport.

Good signing for Celtic?

Taylor is one of the best young left-backs in Scotland, and the 21-year-old will be a good signing for Celtic.

The youngster is very good defensively, and he is also quite adept in attack, and having played over 100 matches for Killie already in his career, he will arrive at Celtic Park with a wealth of experience.

Although Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo has started to look good at left-back in recent games, the 24-year-old needs competition and has to be pushed as the season progresses, and Taylor will do just that.

Dale Carrick of Livingston is challenged by Greg Taylor of Kilmarnock during the pre season friendly between Kilmarnock and Livingston at Rugby Park on July 8, 2017 in Kilmarnock, Scotland.
