Celtic are reportedly plotting to make a second bid for John McGinn, but it seems unlikely that Moses Odubajo will be arriving.

The Record reports that the Hibs are expecting ‘top dollar’ for McGinn with clubs in England interested in bringing him south of the border this summer, but Celtic are planning to make another bid after their first offer was snubbed by their Scottish Premiership rivals.

McGinn is one of the most impressive youngsters in the top flight, so it is little surprise that Neil Lennon is seemingly determined to keep hold of him, or at least get the best deal possible for the Easter Road outfit.
Meanwhile, while McGinn may still be arriving at Celtic with a second bid expected, one player who looks set to be heading elsewhere is Odubajo, who had been pictured on the Bhoys’ pre-season trip to Austria.
Odubajo has endured a miserable time with injury in recent years and goes into the summer as a free agent, but the Record suggests that Celtic will not be pursuing a deal for the 24-year-old.

Celtic do have a number of options in Odubajo’s position, but it is perhaps a surprise that Brendan Rodgers is no longer interested as the Hoops perhaps looked more vulnerable on the right-hand side of their defence than anywhere else on the pitch last season.
But, for now at least, it appears that McGinn is Celtic’s current priority. However, the Hoops are clearly not going to have life made easy for them in their pursuit of the midfielder.
