Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard will reportedly be fit to face Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers in a huge Scottish Premiership clash on Sunday.
According to The Record, Celtic marksman Odsonne Edouard is ‘bang in the frame’ to face Rangers at Parkhead on Sunday.
The 20-year-old, who scored three goals against Rangers last season, hasn’t kicked a ball for Celtic since the 1-0 defeat by Hearts on August 11 following a hamstring injury.
Brendan Rodgers’s side have struggled in the four games without their £9 million record signing, losing to AEK Athens to exit the Champions League and drawing 1-1 with Suduva in a first-leg Europa League qualifier last Thursday.
However, The Record claims that the former Paris Saint-Germain talent could even make the bench for tonight’s return leg against the Lithuanian side in Glasgow, while adding that Edouard is likely to play a role when Steven Gerrard’s side visit the Hoops this weekend.
With the future of Moussa Dembele looking uncertain once again, it could be a massive boost for Rodgers if he has Edouard fit for Rangers.
Dembele, 22, missed Celtic’s training session on Wednesday, as the Northern Irishman confirmed that the Frenchman’s representatives were holding talks with the Scottish club’s hierarchy, amid speculation of a £15 million move to Lyon [BBC Sport].
