Celtic are reportedly set to announce the signing Andrew Gutman imminently after he rejected a move elsewhere.

Gutman’s move to Parkhead has been expected for a while now. The 22-year-old had initially arrived in Scotland to train with Rangers (via Daily Record), but it is set to be the Hoops that he will join this month.
It appears to be a good move for Brendan Rodgers to get a new left-back in this month. Kieran Tierney is unquestionably the Scottish Premiership’s best in that position, but Emilio Izaguirre has struggled to fill the void since the Bhoys stalwart sustained an injury.

In fact, Rodgers decided to field Callum McGregor in the role when Celtic travelled to Ibrox just before the winter break. And while McGregor was arguably the Hoops’ best player on the day, he is clearly a player that Rodgers will want to have back in the middle of the park.
Gutman will have plenty to prove if he does become Tierney’s understudy at Parkhead. But having had the defender training with the club recently, Rodgers clearly feels that he is up to the task of strengthening their options in that area of the pitch.
