Brentford are reportedly closing in on Celtic teenager Theo Archibald.
General view of Celtic Park
According to The Scottish Sun, Brentford are in advanced talks to sign Celtic teenager Theo Archibald this summer, with a three-year deal potentially on the table.
The Bhoys have seen Kieran Tierney, Liam Henderson and Callum McGregor come up through the ranks, whilst the likes of Calvin Miller and Jack Aitchison will be pushing for first-team football next term.
However, not every young played will make the grade at Celtic Park, and one Bhoys teenager looks set to leave Glasgow in order to try his luck in England.
Winger Theo Archibald, 19, has yet to make his Celtic debut, and has been on loan with Albion Rovers since January, where he has made a total of 11 appearances.
Archibald has caught the eye in the UEFA Youth League though, notching one goal and one assist in six games – and it’s believed that Brentford have been watching him closely.
The Scottish Sun now state that Brentford are now in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Archibald, and are prepared to offer him a three-year deal to leave Celtic this summer and head south to Griffin Park.

Ex-Celtic youth stars Barry Bannan, Jackson Irvine, Aiden McGeady, Michael McGovern, Charlie Mulgrew, Richie Towell and Ross Wallace are all currently playing for Championship clubs, and Archibald may be hoping to follow in their footsteps.
Celtic still have time to counter Brentford’s offer and attempt to keep Archibald at the club, but Brentford could offer him a pathway to the first team – something that he has yet to see at Celtic.
