Manchester City are prepared to sell Patrick Roberts this summer, but Celtic face a lot of competition for his signature.
Patrick Roberts
A report in the Evening Times has suggested that Celtic will have to see off competition from 11 other clubs if they want to sign Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts this summer.
Roberts is, unsurprisingly, a Hoops target for this window after proving to be a major hit during his 18 month loan spell at Parkhead, with Brendan Rodgers hoping to bring him back on a permanent basis.

However, it appears that the Bhoys will have some work to do if they hope to re-sign him, with the Evening Times suggesting that City could have 11 other offers to respond to, including bids from the likes of Ligue 1 side Nice, Portuguese giants Porto and Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town.
The Evening Times suggests the prospect of potentially featuring in the Champions League should count in Celtic’s favour, while it is surely not out of the question to suggest that the rapport he has built up with the Parkhead faithful will surely make it difficult for him to head elsewhere if Celtic’s bid matches any offer on the table.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
If Celtic do manage to land Roberts, it will certainly hand them a major boost heading into the Champions League qualifiers and beyond.
Winning such a congested race for such a talented player will send out yet another great message about the direction the Hoops are going in.
