According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic winger Maryan Shved is wanted back at former club Karpaty Lviv after a difficult year in Scotland.
It’s claimed that the Ukrainian side want their former talent to return to the club, having allowed him to join Celtic in 2019.
Karpaty are ‘on standby’ to push through a deal if Neil Lennon will allow him to leave. Oleksandriya are also keen on Shved, but he only wants to join Karpaty if he returns home.
Shved, 22, has played just three games all season. He did bag one goal in the Champions League qualifiers last summer, but his action this season has totalled just 40 minutes.
That really isn’t what Shved had in mind when he joined the Bhoys. It seems that Lennon doesn’t think he is ready for consistent playing time, hence his bit-part role.
A loan move back to Ukraine may help Shved get back on track, with the youngster clearly needing game time – and he won’t get that at Celtic.

Some will remember that Shved was signed under Brendan Rodgers, despite his apparent reluctance to bring him into Parkhead.
Rodgers told The Scottish Sun that he felt Celtic had enough wingers at the club and didn’t need another, noting that he didn’t know much about him but the club saw him as a talent for the future.
So far, it seems that Celtic maybe should have listened to Rodgers about this one. Shved seems a long way from the Celtic first team, and with a return to Ukraine now possible, it seems unlikely they will make a profit on their £1.75million outlay.
