Celtic are attempting to secure the signature of Dundee defender Jack Hendry.

According to the Daily Mail, Celtic remain locked in talks with Dundee over a fee for defender Jack Hendry as Brendan Rodgers chases another new arrival.
The Bhoys may be leading the Scottish Premiership once again, but Rodgers has already brought in one January addition, snapping up German defender Marvin Compper from RB Leipzig.
With St Mirren’s Lewis Morgan and Australian teenager Leo Mazis also set to sign, Celtic are putting in plenty of early work this month, and they are pursuing another target too.

The Daily Mail report that Celtic remain in talks with Dundee over a possible deal for defender Jack Hendry, with the two clubs still negotiating a fee for his services.
Hendry, 22, only joined Dundee from Wigan Athletic over the summer, but his impressive performances have caught the eye, with Rodgers now hoping to lure him to Glasgow.
The centre back looks set to leave Dundee in 2018, whether it’s now or at the end of the season, and Celtic appear to be leading the race for his signature.

However, with talks over a fee dragging on, Celtic need to get a deal done quickly given that the Daily Mail recently reported that Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Southampton are also keen on Hendry.
If Celtic can’t get a deal done swiftly, those three Premier League clubs may just seize their opportunity and swoop in with offers of their own, meaning Rodgers will hope for a prompt resolution.
