Are Celtic set to hire a Lee Congerton replacement? It seems that way.

Celtic are reportedly on the brink of hiring a permanent successor to Lee Congerton.
Congerton left his role as Head of Recruitment this past summer to join up with former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City.
Celtic brought in Nick Hammond to assist manager Neil Lennon on the transfer front during the summer.
And according to The Scottish Sun, Hammond is on the verge of being appointed in a long-term capacity.
This report comes a day after Rangers signed up Ross Wilson as their Director of Football following Mark Allen’s sudden exit last month.
Lennon will be delighted to be working alongside Hammond again for the January transfer window, telling The Glasgow Evening Times last month that he hoped the 52-year-old would stay in Glasgow.
Asked about how big of a role Hammond played during the recruitment process this past summer, the Celtic boss said: “Huge, absolutely huge. Will he stay on? I hope so. He’s worked tirelessly, been here there and everywhere around Europe meeting agents, club representatives, talking to people on the phone constantly.”
It’s still too early to gauge the quality of Hammond’s signings during the summer, with most of them still adapting to life in Glasgow, but virtually all of them look promising and time will tell how they fare.
