Celtic are reportedly interested in Queens Park Rangers youngster Sinclair Armstrong, with several clubs also chasing the Dublin-born talent.
According to Goal via Sports Illustrated, the 18-year-old striker has caught the eye of talent spotters at Parkhead this season.
Armstrong spent two months on loan with National League side Torquay United, scoring twice in eight appearances for the club.
And now, back at QPR, the striker is now being chased by clubs in both England and abroad. As per the report, Premier League giants Manchester City are interested in Armstrong, with Bundesliga side Hoffenheim also keeping tabs on the forward.
An intriguing talent who made his professional debut at just 17 for Shamrock Rovers, Armstrong is one of the most promising talents coming through at QPR this season, with the youngster said to be ‘turning heads’ at youth level.
Indeed, the teenager made the QPR bench for the first time this month in the club’s FA Cup clash against Rotherham United last week. And with the future of Lyndon Dykes in the air, there’s a chance more minutes could come Armstrong’s way.
Irish-connection could help Celtic land Sinclair Armstrong

With Armstrong impressing at a club as big as QPR, it’s no wonder that the likes of Celtic and City are keen on the teenager. However, the Scottish giants could have a shot at landing the youngster due to their Republic of Ireland connections.
After all, Celtic is a club with a long history linked to Ireland, and this could be a factor in Armstrong’s decision making on if he wants to leave QPR this year, with a move to Scotland likely a possibility.
