According to The Scottish Herald, Celtic have re-opened negotiations with Aston Villa for the signing of winger Scott Sinclair.
The Bhoys have added two new faces under manager Brendan Rodgers, with defender Kolo Toure and forward Moussa Dembele both arriving to bolster the Celtic squad.

However, manager Rodgers has been involved in a lengthy transfer saga as he attempts to reunite with Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair.
Rodgers worked alongside Sinclair in the Chelsea youth ranks, and then signed him for Swansea in 2010, where the wide man scored 35 goals in 90 games under the Northern Irishman to earn a 2012 move to Manchester City.

It’s been tough going for Sinclair ever since, and after a six-goal season for Villa last term, Rodgers is now hoping to reunite with his former star in Glasgow.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Celtic have failed with bids of £1m, £1.25m, £2m and £2.7m for Sinclair, but The Scottish Herald report that the Bhoys are returning to the negotiating table with a fifth move for the winger.

Celtic beat Astana to make it into the final round of qualifying for the Champions League, and have until Monday to register new signings for the next round – and having re-opened talks to sign Sinclair, Celtic allegedly want the deal done by Monday.
Given that Aston Villa have signed Ross McCormack, Sinclair’s path to Celtic may be clearer now, and reuniting with Rodgers should be appealing for a player who has struggled to find a home since parting ways with the Bhoys manager in 2012.
