
Celtic goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas reportedly has numerous clubs interested in him, however, there have been no offers for the Greek international.
According to Sky Sports News, ‘a number of clubs’ in Europe after keen on signing Barkas this month. The keeper is allowed to leave Celtic, however, the Scottish giants are yet to receive a single offer for Barkas.
The 27-year-old has struggled for form since joining the Hoops in 2020, with Barkas often criticised by both supporters and pundits for poor displays that have cost Celtic important points over the past 18 months.
Moreover, Joe Hart has claimed the number one spot as his own this season following his arrival from Tottenham, with Barkas making just two appearances in all competitions for Celtic this campaign.
Indeed, selling Barkas will be a huge weight off Celtic’s shoulders. However, the Glasgow side are struggling to find any suitors for the former AEK Athens star despite interest from clubs around Europe.
As reported by the Glasgow Times, Celtic paid £5m for Barkas in the summer of 2020, and it is highly unlikely that Ange Postecoglou’s side will be able to break even, let alone make a profit on the Greek shot-stopper.
Celtic need to ensure Barkas is sold one way or another this month

With Hart the undisputed number one at Celtic Park, Barkas’ future is destined to be away from Scotland. And both the player and club need to do everything possible to ensure a transfer is completed this month.
Whether it be a permanent move or a loan spell, Barkas simply has to leave Celtic this month. And whilst offers are yet to come in, clubs being interested in the 27-year-old is a good starting point for the keeper.
