According to the Daily Record, Brighton and Hove Albion defender Shane Duffy has now completed his medical with Celtic ahead of a season-long loan move.
It’s claimed that Duffy as given the all-clear from his medical checks this morning, and he took those tests remotely given that wasn’t able to head to Scotland.
Instead, Duffy has completed the move whilst on international duty with Ireland, with all paperwork completed before he flew out to Sofia for Ireland’s game against Bulgaria.
The report added that West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion also wanted Duffy, but he has turned them down.
Duffy has instead picked Celtic, because he grew up supporting the Bhoys, with Neil Lennon able to land a real coup.
Celtic were shaky defensively in the 2-1 Champions League qualifying defeat to Ferencvaros last week, and Lennon has wasted little time in landing Duffy.

The 28-year-old is a strong, physical presence at the back, and has bags of experience both in the Premier League and on the international stage.
With Kristoffer Ajer’s future unclear, Duffy could end up striking a powerful partnership with Christopher Jullien – and that could push Celtic closer to a tenth league title in a row.
