Celtic are reportedly plotting a move for Swansea City full-back Connor Roberts as his contract runs into its final months.

Lustig has been a fantastic servant for the Hoops, but right-back appears to be one area where the Scottish Premiership champions need to strengthen with the Swede seemingly starting to struggle.
And it appears that Rodgers may have identified a potential rival for the 31-year-old. The Daily Express reports that the Bhoys are now scouting the Wales international ahead of what could prove to be a bargain move.
The Express reports that Roberts is out of contract at the Liberty Stadium at the end of the season. So while the Swans are keen to keep the youngster, they may soon have little say over his future.

Celtic may potentially have an advantage over any English sides that are keen on the 23-year-old, as they will be able to discuss a pre-contract deal with the defender in January ahead of the summer.
Of course, Swansea may be tempted to sell in a couple of months if they sense that they are unlikely to agree fresh terms with Roberts. But the Hoops could have a fantastic chance to swoop in while a question mark lingers over his situation.

Roberts would be a brilliant addition to Rodgers’ squad if Celtic were able to win the race to bring him in. He has played every Championship game this season and is now a regular in Ryan Giggs’ Wales side.
And with Roberts also able to play further up the field or on the left, it appears that any deal would be a major coup for Celtic.
