According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic striker Patryk Klimala has headed off to the United States in order to finalise a move to the New York Bulls.

It’s claimed that Klimala’s medical was originally scheduled to take place in Austria, but it has now been moved to the States.

Klimala will pen a ‘lucrative’ deal with the Red Bulls, bringing and end to 18 unconvincing months with Celtic.

The Polish attacker, signed from Jagiellonia Bialystok for £3.5million in January 2020, only managed three goals in 27 games for the Bhoys.

The 22-year-old became something of a misfit at Parkhead, and yet this report claims that the deal could end up being worth more than £3.5million.

That means Celtic may somehow be in a position to claim a profit on Klimala, which has to feel like a major win for the Hoops.

Klimala does still have some potential, and his physical attributes could make him an ideal fit for Major League Soccer.

Klimala’s deal looks set to go through soon, barring any hitches, and he will join ex-Celtic duo Andrew Gutman and Cameron Harper in New York.
