Leeds United appear to have been joined by Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic in the race for Martinez’s signature.

The Sun reports that Celtic have approached Arsenal about a deal for goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, in whom Leeds United have also indicated an interest.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is said to want an emergency number one after losing Craig Gordon to injury.

And according to The Sun, Martinez is keen on the move, which would allow him to play Europa League football in the second half of the campaign.
The Argentine has made just four appearances while on loan to Getafe this season, and the Spanish side would have to agree to an early termination of his deal.
The Sun, however, adds that Getafe are still in discussions with Crystal Palace over the sale of first choice keeper Vicente Guaita – who has already agreed an end-of-season free transfer to Selhurst Park – which could impact Celtic and Leeds’ chances.

Celtic – whose patience, the tabloid claims, is being stretched by the delay over Guaita’s future – are arguably in greater need of Martinez than Leeds, who have Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan vying for the number one position at Elland Road.
That could change, however, should a proposed move to Sunderland materialise for Lonergan.
Celtic or Leeds – which would be the best move for Martinez?
