Celtic are interested in signing Mattia De Sciglio from Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to Gianlucadimarzio.com.

It has been reported that the Scottish Premiership giants have made an approach for the full-back, with the Italian and European powerhouse open to selling the 27-year-old.

However, according to the report, the former AC Milan star – who has won Serie A as many as three times with Juventus – is not convinced by a move to Celtic.

Stats

According to WhoScored, De Sciglio has played 23 minutes in Serie A for Juventus so far this season, while during the 2019-20 campaign, he played 470 minutes in the league and 180 minutes in the Champions League.

Back in 2018-19, the 27-year-old – who can play as a left-back or as a right-back – made 19 starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A and played four times in the Champions League in 2018-19, according to WhoScored.

Celtic’s Europa League progress

Meanwhile, Chris Sutton has given his take on Celtic progressing to the group stage of the Europa League this season.

Neil Lennon’s side won 1-0 against FK Sarajevo in the Europa League Qualifying Playoff tie on Thursday evening, and former Celtic striker Sutton was not impressed with the performance of the team.
