Celtic were said to be considering the Leicester City winger ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

The Celtic-linked winger Fousseni Diabate is expected to join Amiens on loan from Leicester City, according to L’Equipe.
The newspaper reports that Diabate is awaiting validation from the French football league (LFP) before he completes a move to the Ligue 1 side.
The Scottish Sun reported that the £1.8 million Leicester recruit was being considered by Celtic ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline – although that was before the arrival of Mohamed Elyounoussi on loan from Southampton.
And Celtic appear to have got the better deal when you compare the two players’ career history.
Diabate has scored or assisted 12 goals in 58 senior club matches, whereas Elyounoussi has scored or assisted 122 goals in 265 senior club matches and boasts Champions League experience with FC Basel.

Celtic signed three new players – all defenders – on the final day of the summer transfer window, with Greg Taylor, Jeremie Frimpong and Lee O’Connor all arriving on permanent deals.
Diabate is managed by Brendan Rodgers at Leicester, but has yet to feature under the former Bhoys boss.
