Celtic are reportedly keen on former Cardiff City playmaker Lex Immers.
According to Dutch newspaper Voetbal International, Celtic are one of three clubs interested in signing Dutch playmaker Lex Immers following his release from Cardiff City.
The Bhoys are set to land Krasnodar midfielder Kouassi Eboue in a £2.8million deal, with The Scottish Sun reporting that manager Brendan Rodgers still wants to add another midfielder during this month’s transfer window.

Now, reports from Dutch newspaper Voetbal International claim that Celtic are one of three clubs interested in signing Lex Immers, who is now a free agent.
Cardiff City confirmed on their official website earlier today that Immers has had his contract terminated, despite only a penning a permanent deal from Feyenoord over the summer.

Immers, 30, had hit five goals in 15 games during a loan spell with the Bluebirds last season, but he has featured just once since the end of October, and leaves South Wales having failed to score this season.
Immers is now free to negotiate with others clubs, and it”s claimed that Celtic are in the race to land him, along with Belgian outfit Club Brugge and German side Stuttgart.
The Dutchman had hit 35 goals in 125 games for Feyenoord following a 2012 move from ADO Den Haag, but his time in English football has been frustrating.
A classic number 10, Immers could offer Celtic some depth behind Tom Rogic in attacking midfield, and on a free transfer, he wouldn’t break the bank for Rodgers – but whether he’s the standard of player Celtic really need is another matter.
