Celtic are reportedly pursuing Southampton’s Ross Wilson again.

According to The Express, Celtic are interested in making Southampton’s Ross Wilson their new chief scout, despite him holding talks with Rangers.
The Bhoys saw John Park resign from his post as chief scout back in October, bringing an end to ten years of service to the club, in which he had helped bring some key players to Celtic Park.
Park played his part in signing the likes of Fraser Forster, Virgil van Dijk, Ki Sung-yueng, Victor Wanyama and Gary Hooper, all of whom were sold to Premier League clubs for considerable profit.
With Park gone, manager Brendan Rodgers will be looking to bring in a new chief scout, and The Express are now reporting that Celtic could return for a former target.
It’s claimed that Southampton’s Director of Scouting, Ross Wilson, is a target for Celtic as they look to replace Park, with Huddersfield Town’s Stuart Webber and Tottenham’s Paul Mitchell also on the wish list.

Wilson, 34, told BBC Sport in 2015 that Celtic approached him to work alongside Park back in 2011, but he wanted to move to England and subsequently joined Watford before heading to Southampton.
Now, Celtic are reportedly keen to finally land Wilson again, but they will face competition from Old Firm rivals Rangers, who want Wilson to become their new Director of Football at Ibrox.
The Scottish Sun reported last weekend that Wilson was the favourite for the job with Rangers after holding talks with the club, but Celtic could now swoop in and hijack their move.
