Neil Lennon’s Celtic reportedly want Hatem Abd Elhamed.
It has been reported that Celtic are considering making a move for the 28-year-old defender.
The report has claimed that the Hoops are closing in on agreeing a fee for the Israel international, who is valued at £1.6 million.
Experienced defender
Abd Elhamed is a central defender, but the Israel international can also operate as a right-back and started his career as a winger.
The 28-year-old is very experienced, and his performances for the likes of FC Ashdod and Hapoel Be’er Sheva have been very encouraging.
Good signing for Celtic?
Celtic need to sign a central defender, and Abd Elhamed is a player who will enhance the quality of the Neil Lennon’s side at the back.
For £1.6m, the Hoops will be signing a player at the peak of his powers who will help them in their Champions League qualifiers as well as in the Scottish Premiership.
