Celtic boss Neil Lennon is desperately wanting to bring a right-back to Parkhead this summer, and could turn to former Leicester City man Danny Simpson.

According to a report in the Scottish Sun, Celtic are interested in Danny Simpson, following his release from Leicester City.
Celtic are set to take Simpson on trial next week, as Neil Lennon steps up his search for a right-back.
The Bhoys are very keen to snap up a right sided defender, with Lennon now set to run the rule over Simpson in training.
The 32-year-old’s arrival at Celtic is unlikely to be unanimously popular, as he has not featured particularly regular at Leicester over the past year.
However, Celtic fans may be more encouraged by the potential signing after reading Brendan Rodgers’ praise of the full-back.
“Danny is an interesting one because there’s a perception around Danny, maybe from the outside in terms of how he works, but I have to say, he is absolutely first-class,” said Rodgers to the Leicester Mercury.

“He just wants to play now. He’s a good player, a good guy, I have enjoyed working with him.
“He trains like a demon every day. But he’s at the age where he is still fit, still feels young and not ready to be a cover player.”
If Simpson was to move to Celtic he may well get his wish at Parkhead, as there is definitely a gap at right-back in Lennon’s squad.
Celtic have played Kristoffer Ajer at right-back in the early part of the campaign, but he is a more natural centre-back.
Simpson is a previous Premier League winner and would at least offer experience to Celtic’s squad, but he may not be a long-term option for Lennon’s side.
