Celtic are reportedly keen on South African defender Rivaldo Coetzee.
According to The Scotsman, Celtic are understood to be interested in a deal to sign Ajax Cape Town’s talented young defender Rivaldo Coetzee this summer.
The Bhoys made it two wins from two in the Scottish Premiership on Friday evening, as Olivier Ntcham’s goal handed Celtic a 1-0 win away at Partick Thistle.

Whilst Celtic are the hot favourites to win the Scottish Premiership title yet again, manager Brendan Rodgers is still keen on more new signings before this month’s transfer deadline, especially as the Bhoys face FC Astana of Kazakhstan in the Champions League play-offs.
With Kolo Toure retired and both Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic injured, another centre back should be a priority for Rodgers, with a youngster believed to be on Celtic’s radar ahead of the transfer deadline later this month.
The Scotsman report that Celtic are keen on Ajax Cape Town defender Rivaldo Coetzee, with the Bhoys having just under three weeks to get a deal done for the youngster.
Coetzee, 20, has come up through the ranks with Ajax Cape Town, and he has been a regular for club and country since his breakthrough in 2014, with 22 international caps to his name already.

Coetzee stands at just 5ft 10in tall, which many may consider to be too small for a centre back, but his pace and ability on the ball has seen him earn plaudits in South Africa.
Celtic are now believed to be interested in landing the defender, but with parent club Ajax no doubt aware of his ability too, the Bhoys may face something of a battle to sign the youngster this summer.
