Celtic have seemingly hit a brick wall in their negotiations with Peterborough United for Ivan Toney, according to the Daily Record.
Celtic have been chasing Toney for much of the summer so far, but they have been unable to get a deal over the line.
Peterborough are not willing to sell Toney for any less than £9 million, and Lennon’s men are now struggling to agree a fee.
Celtic now appear to have lined up other options instead of Toney, as the transfer is proving too expensive.
If the Bhoys do fail to get a deal over the line for the powerhouse striker then that could be a disappointment at Parkhead.
Toney scored 26 goals last term, as he dominated defences at League One level.

There was real excitement about the damage he could do in Scottish football if he was to move to Celtic.
But it seems that the Bhoys have some doubts over whether he is worth the valuation that Posh have put on him.
Celtic are, instead, closing on a deal to sign Albian Ajeti on loan, while Steven Fletcher could still join on a free transfer (Daily Record).
