Lyon are desperate to sign Celtic’s Dembele before the French deadline at 11pm.

French newspaper L’Equipe claim Celtic have rejected three eight-figure offers for Moussa Dembele from French outfit Lyon, with just hours remaining before the Ligue 1 window shuts at 11pm on Friday.
Dembele, 22, is seemingly keen to leave the Scottish champions after two seasons with Celtic, in which he has scored 51 goals in 94 league and cup appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
He has two years remaining on his £25,000-a-week contract (Daily Star) at Parkhead, but it seems he is set to end his four-year deal prematurely if Lyon can finally strike a deal with the Hoops to land the striker.
It is believed that Lyon opened the bidding with an offer worth £14.4million up front, as well as £3.6million in add-ons, which was rejected. The French side then reduced their offer, but in the form of one £16.1million payment.

Again, Rodgers and Celtic rejected that offer for the France youth international. The third bid from Lyon was worth £18million, but again the Hoops said no. It remains to be seen what figure Celtic would sell Dembele for.
Celtic are likely to be on the lookout for a replacement for Dembele but they must move quickly as the Scottish window shuts at 5pm. The chances of Dembele remaining in green and white hang in the balance.
