Neil Lennon’s Celtic have signed Mohamed Elyounoussi on loan from Southampton.

The Hoops secured the services of Elyounoussi on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Southampton in the summer transfer window.
It came as quite a surprise, as prior to the announcement, there was no speculation or report that Celtic were interested in the 25-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a winger.
The Daily Record has now claimed that there is no option in the deal for the Hoops to sign the Norway international on a permanent contract.
Oversight from Celtic?
Celtic reportedly not including an option to sign Elyounoussi on a permanent contract is an oversight.
After all, the 25-year-old could well be a success at the Hoops this season and make himself a hero among the Celtic Park faithful.

An option to buy would have given Celtic more leverage next summer and would have made it easier for them to land the Norway international on a permanent contract should he a success at the Hoops.
Such a clause would also have also motivated the attacker even more to succeed at Celtic Park and earned a contract with the Hoops.
