According to Blick, Celtic have been watching Dundee United glovesman Benjamin Siegrist for some time.
The 28-year-old is also being eyed by CSKA Moscow and Schalke 04, as well as clubs from the Eredivisie in the Netherlands.
It is said by Blick that Dundee United are struggling financially.
In that respect, they could accept a ‘lucrative’ bid for the shot-stopper, who has a contract with the Scottish outfit until 2022.
Cash from the 28-year-old’s departure would, at least temporarily, offer the Scottish Premiership side some financial relief.
An earlier report from the Scottish Daily Mail (29/12, back page) said that Dundee United have slapped a £1.5 million asking price on Siegrist.
The Therwil-born goalkeeper has been earning some rave reviews over in Scotland.
As Blick write, former Scotland international Rab Douglas said Siegrist is having an ‘exceptionally good’ campaign so far.
Elsewhere, Blick also relay quotes from Dundee United’s Micky Mellon.
The former Shrewsbury Town boss said his glovesman was ‘undoubtedly’ the best goalkeeper in Scotland – high praise indeed.
Additionally, Blick mention that a January exit for Siegrist is possible, and purely depends on the type of offer received by Dundee United.
The Swiss shot-stopper has made 21 Scottish Premiership appearances this season, conceding 25 goals and keeping six clean sheets.
