Celtic are set to benefit from any big sale of the Hearts youngster to the English Premier League.
The paper say that a 30% sell-on clause was included a deal that saw the youngster make the switch from the Hoops to Tynecastle last year, after he rejected professional terms at Celtic.
The Glasgow side opted to take up that option rather than receive a compensation fee.
As stated by the report, neither party expected his rise in the Scottish Premiership to be so meteoric, leaving Celtic as unexpected beneficiaries of any future transfer deal.
The Scottish Sun previously reported that two Premier League clubs, Manchester City and Southampton, were vying for his signature in a seven-figure deal.

He’s been a regular in Craig Levein’s team this season playing in a variety of positions.
Hickey is certainly showing a lot of potential right now, but it’s important to remember he is still at the very, very early stages of his footballing career.
To date he’s only made 14 first-team appearances, so any thought of a big move to England might be a bit premature.
Celtic may even prefer that the Tynecastle side show a bit of patience with his development and sell him for an even greater fee down the line.
A 30% chunk of any future transfer is not insignificant, so the Hoops have done well to position themselves to reap the benefits of his potential, if he does indeed attract serious interest from England.
