According to a report in the Press and Journal, Brendan Rodgers is frustrated that Celtic have not completed a move for Aberdeen Jonny Hayes yet.

Celtic have made Hayes one of their top targets this summer, with Rodgers keen to bring the forward to Glasgow.

The Bhoys quickly set about trying to sign Hayes, but any deal has been thrown into doubt by outside interest.

Cardiff City are said to be in the running for Hayes, which has complicated Celtic’s move.

And Rodgers is said to be frustrated with the delay in sealing the deal.

Rodgers wants to make additions swiftly at Celtic, to ensure that he has his full squad around for pre-season.

Celtic have set out a desire to add quality rather than quantity this summer, with Rodgers only looking to make slight alterations to his squad.

Hayes made 32 appearances for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership over the past campaign, scoring nine times and claiming 11 assists.
