Celtic forward Jack Aitchison is reportedly set to be offered the chance to make the move to join the Scottish Championship side.

The Tangerines finished third in the second tier this past season and were able to hand Anthony Ralston some game-time after he arrived on loan from Parkhead in March. The Hoops right-back would play 11 league games for the second tier outfit.

And it appears that United are keen to replicate that deal, with the Dundee Telegraph reporting that Celtic should potentially expect an offer for Aitchison during the summer. The report hints that the bid is likely to be for another loan deal.
The 18-year-old’s career, from a first-team perspective, appears to have stagnated somewhat. The forward caught the headlines on the final day of the 2015/16 season when he scored in the Hoops’ 7-0 win. That game saw Aitchison become Celtic’s youngest ever player and goalscorer, and it appeared that he was definitely a name to keep an eye on.

Unfortunately for the teenager, he has only made two first-team appearances under Rodgers and none this past season so agreeing to a loan move would arguably be a very smart decision.
Leaving Celtic for the season may present Aitchison with the best chance to prove to Rodgers that he can be a success with the Hoops in the future, especially if he goes on and scores the goal that fire Dundee United to promotion.
