According to 90Min, Celtic are considering an approach for Ipswich Town boss Paul Lambert if they do part ways with Neil Lennon.
Celtic publicly backed Lennon on Monday night, throwing their support behind their beleaguered boss for the short-term at least.
Yet having crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers and the Scottish League Cup as well as falling 13 points behind Rangers in the league, Lennon is under huge pressure.
He will seemingly get time to turn things around, but they are now being linked with a move to appoint Lambert as Lennon’s replacement if a change is made in the near future.
Lambert is currently managing Ipswich Town, who currently sit third in League One and just three points off to automatic promotion spots.
Lambert has only won 32% of his games in charge of Ipswich though, and has struggled to impress since leaving Norwich City in 2012.

The 51-year-old does have history with Celtic having joined them from Borussia Dortmund in 1997, making 273 appearances for the Bhoys.
However, some Celtic fans may remember comments Lambert made in 2010, when he told the Daily Record that he had no interest of ever managing Celtic as the idea of going back to Parkhead didn’t appeal to him.
Of course, his opinion could have changed in the last 10 years, but those comments don’t look too encouraging as Celtic allegedly look towards Lambert.
