Celtic’s move for Greg Taylor may suddenly be on the rocks.
According to Sky Sports (13:57), Celtic’s deal to sign Kilmarnock left back Greg Taylor is suddenly in doubt on deadline day.
It’s claimed that the Bhoys are still in talks to let Jack Hendry and Calvin Miller join Kilmarnock, but Taylor coming the other way is no longer guaranteed.
What the exact problem is hasn’t been made clear, but a deal Celtic seemingly thought was all but done is now in the balance.
The Daily Record reported over the weekend that Taylor had undergone medical with Celtic on Saturday, having been left out of the Kilmarnock side to face St Johnstone.
It was even stated that Celtic were trying to get Taylor signed in time to face Rangers on Sunday, but whilst that didn’t happen, a move was still expected to be imminent.
Now, Taylor’s move may no longer go through, and Celtic have until midnight to overcome any issues and finally get the Scotland international signed up.
Having lost Kieran Tierney and Emilio Izaguirre this summer, Celtic have needed to replace both, with Boli Bolingoli first brought in from Rapid Vienna to replace Izaguirre.
Now, Taylor is the target to replace Tierney, but with just hours of the transfer window to go, there are fears that it may not happen after all.
