Celtic could put Odsonne Edouard on the market ahead of next week’s transfer deadline, with Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion ‘admirers’ of the Frenchman, according to The Sun on Sunday (September 27, page 61).
The newspaper states that Celtic may take action if Edouard ‘does not commit his future’, although it adds that Villa, Palace and Brighton would need to pay £30 million to have a chance of luring him from Glasgow.
The 22-year-old has ended each of the past two campaigns as the Bhoys’ top scorer but has had his commitment questioned this season, despite his five goals in seven matches.
All three of Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Brighton are being tipped to add to their attacking options before the window closes, with Rhian Brewster of Liverpool another rumoured shared target.
And Celtic will know that, with Edouard’s contract due to expire at the end of next season, selling the £9m recruit now could be their best opportunity to maximise their profit.

Speaking via The Sun on Saturday, however, the Bhoys boss Neil Lennon said: “We don’t want Odsonne to go, obviously, and we have had no significant interest in him as yet.
“There’s always a bit of agitation when the window is open, but speaking to him he seems content enough.”
Would Edouard be a good addition for Aston Villa, Crystal Palace or Brighton?
