According to the Daily Mail, Celtic may now use playmaker Tom Rogic in a swap bid for Brighton and Hove Albion defender Shane Duffy.

It’s claimed that Rogic has an offer from an unnamed Qatari club, with a £3.6million exit potentially in the works.

However, there could be a twist in the tale as Brighton are thought to be interested in the Australian too.

Celtic may now try and use Rogic in a deal for Brighton defender Duffy, with a swap at least being considered.

Celtic were told to pay £2million to take Duffy on loan, though West Ham United are also interested in landing the centre back.

The 28-year-old Irishman grew up supporting Celtic, so a move to Parkhead this summer may well appeal to Duffy.

Celtic would struggle to fund a permanent move, but throwing Rogic into a deal may just give them a real chance.

Rogic, 27, has yet to play for Celtic this season, and may fancy a stint in the Premier League at this stage in his career rather than heading to Qatar – and the Bhoys will now have real hope of tempting Brighton into a swap that certainly makes sense for Neil Lennon.
