Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to bring in some new players in January.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers arrives prior to the Scottish Premier League match between Dundee and Celtic at Dens Park on December 26, 2017 in Dundee, Scotland.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Brendan Rodgers could be given £35 million to spend in January by Celtic.

The Bhoys’ transfer budget has been boosted by Southampton’s sale of Virgil Van Dijk to Liverpool for £75 million.

Celtic will receive 10% of the funds for Van Dijk, and Rodgers will be able to invest that fee.

Celtic could also have more money to spend, if they sell Moussa Dembele.

Moussa Dembele of Celtic celebrates his goal, Celtic's third, during the Betfred Cup Semi-Final at Hampden Park on October 21, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

The French striker is attracting attention from a number of Premier League sides, and Celtic should receive a big fee if they sell the forward.

Rodgers has suggested that he wants to keep Dembele, but there is a realisation around Celtic that a big money bid could convince them to sell.

The Bhoys are determined to allow Rodgers to strengthen his squad, if they do sell Dembele though, and that could provide him with the biggest budget the Bhoys have had to spend for years.
