According to The Express, Celtic are lining up a £1.5million bid to sign Hibernian midfielder John McGinn this summer – but face competition from Sunderland.
The Bhoys have enjoyed a remarkable season under Brendan Rodgers this term, winning the Scottish Premiership title without losing a game, whilst with the Scottish League Cup secured and a place in the Scottish Cup final in the bag, Celtic could complete an unbeaten domestic season.
Despite enjoying so much success, Celtic and manager Rodgers will be in the market for new signings this summer, with the Bhoys boss seemingly keen to add another midfielder despite signing Eboue Kouassi in January.
Now, The Express claim that Celtic are interested in signing Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, and are lining up a £1.5million bid to sign him this summer.

McGinn, 22, was born in Glasgow but started his career with St Mirren, and his impressive displays earned him a 2015 move to Hibernian, where he has been a vital player ever since.
The midfielder has notched ten goals in 88 appearances for Hibs, and his performances in the Scottish Championship have even earned him three caps for Scotland, with many believing that he has a huge career ahead of him domestically and on the international stage.

A move to Celtic would be a huge step for McGinn, and Rodgers is believed to be a huge fan of the midfielder, and is considering a ‘quickfire bid’ in order to fend off interest from Sunderland and David Moyes.
The Black Cats have suffered relegation to the Championship, and Moyes – if he stays in the job – will be looking for major reinforcements, but with Celtic able to offer Champions League football, the Bhoys should be favourites to seal a £1.5million move.
