Celtic could make a new bid for Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna, according to The Daily Record.
It has been reported that Brendan Rodgers’s side are considering reigniting their pursuit of the 21-year-old defender and are ready to make an increased offer.
Celtic’s initial offer of £3.5 million for the youngster was turned down by Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen, according to BBC Sport, with manager Rodgers also quoted as saying that he has ended the pursuit of the defender.
However, it now seems – according to the report in The Daily Record – that Celtic are ready to make a U-turn regarding McKenna.
Good signing for Celtic?
McKenna is only 21 years of age, but there is no doubt that the defender is hugely talented and has a lot of potential.
The Scotland international has done well during his time at Aberdeen, and his performances in the Scottish Premiership have been very encouraging.
The youngster would be a good signing for Celtic, not just for now but in the long run as well.
