The left-back is believed to be on his way to Celtic Park.

Celtic are said to be looking for a left-back this summer and have recently been linked with Dutchman Mitchell Dijks. He however looks set to switch Willem II for former club Ajax so they will need to look elsewhere for a quality left sided defender.

It now looks as though they have found him. Reports in Poland suggest that Celtic are on the verge of taking Barry Douglas back to Scottish football.

The 25-year-old Glaswegian previously played for Queen’s Park and Dundee United, before making an interesting move to Polish outfit Lech Poznan in 2013.

Celtic are said to be keen on the player, with FutbolNews.pl suggesting that Celtic will pay up to €700,000 for the Scot, who has one year remaining on his current deal at Lech.

Douglas has established himself at Lech Poznan this season, playing 25 times and scoring three goals for the club in an excellent Estraklasa campaign.

Poznan will also be playing in Europe next season, so leaving them will be a tough decision for the player to make.

However, with the lure of returning to his hometown to play for Celtic, there is no doubt that Douglas will be considering a move to Celtic Park with absolute sincerity.
