According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are pushing through a £1.2million deal to sign Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes, with the player keen on a reunion with Brendan Rodgers.
Manager Rodgers enjoyed a remarkable first season in charge of the Bhoys, winning an unbeaten domestic treble, which was clinched with a 2-1 Scottish Cup final win over Aberdeen last weekend.

Aberdeen took the lead through Jonny Hayes, only for Stuart Armstrong and Tom Rogic to hit back with goals for Celtic – and it seems that even Hayes could be turning out in green and white hoops next season.
The Daily Mail report that Celtic want to sign Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes, and are now pushing through a £1.2million move for the Irishman as a deal seemingly drawing nearer.

It’s claimed that Celtic want to secure the deal for Hayes before he joins he Republic of Ireland squad to face Uruguay on Sunday, meaning the Bhoys will be busy over the next 48 hours.
Championship clubs Birmingham and Cardiff are also keen, but Celtic hope to tie up a swift deal after Aberdeen allegedly backed down and allowed Hayes to leave Pittodrie this summer.

Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie could be included in the move after spending 2017 on loan with Aberdeen, but if not, then Celtic face a £1.2million fee, which manager Rodgers is seemingly willing to pay.
Hayes, who hit nine goals and 13 assists for Aberdeen this past season, allegedly wants to reunite with his former Reading academy boss Rodgers, meaning Celtic could soon make their first signing of the summer.
