Celtic only have to agree personal terms in order to finally secure the signing of Royal Antwerp right back Aurelio Buta.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who claim that a £3million deal has been agreed with the Belgian club for Buta to move to Parkhead.
Celtic now only need to agree personal terms with the right back, seemingly edging ever closer to a deal that looked unlikely at one stage this week.
Both the Daily Record and the Daily Mail suggested that Celtic’s hopes of signing Buta were dwindling.
Hot on the heels of signing Joe Hart and James McCarthy, it now seems that Celtic have ramped up their move for Buta.
The 24-year-old is a speedy, attack-minded right back who came through with Benfica before heading off to Belgium with Royal Antwerp.

With 19 assists in 109 games for Royal Antwerp, Buta has shown his quality going forward, and that’s what Celtic need to add.
Anthony Ralston just isn’t going to be Celtic’s first-choice right back going forward, and the Bhoys now need to finalise terms to get Buta over the line before somebody else does.
