Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic appear to pulled off a coup by luring Coffey to Parkhead.

Celtic have completed the signing of young Irish playmaker Barry Coffey, according to the Tipperary Star.
And the Scottish Sun reports the Bhoys have beaten a trio of English sides to land Coffey on a three-year deal, after he allegedly caught the eye for Ireland in this year’s Victory Shield tournament.
It is claimed that the 16-year-old appeared for Chelsea at a 2016 youth tournament in Rotterdam and had been offered trails by both Manchester clubs, United and City.

But it is Celtic who are said to have secured Coffey’s services, with a post on Twitter appearing to show the Tipperary native putting pen to paper with the Scottish champions.
And he will reportedly link up with the development squad at Parkhead.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is yet to add to his treble-winning side during this summer’s transfer window, but is being strongly linked with moves for wing duo Jonny Hayes and Patrick Roberts – the latter of whom has spent the past 18 months on loan to the Glasgow side.
How big a coup is Coffey’s capture by Celtic?
