According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are looking to fight Brighton and Hove Albion for the signature of Nordsjalland defender Abdul Mumin Suleman.
It’s claimed that a host of clubs are keen to sign the Ghanaian centre back, having seen him produce impressive performances over in Denmark this season.
As one of the top defenders in Scandinavia, Suleman is attracting interest. Brighton and Celtic are fighting it out for him, whilst Strasbourg and Zulte Waregem have already failed with bids.
Gent, Mechelen, Brondby, Espanyol, Getafe and Nimes are also interest. Suleman’s stance is that he wants to join a team where he can play regularly and develop.
With his contract at Nordsjaelland up this summer, Suleman can move for free – something that should appeal to Celtic.
The global pandemic will limit the spending power of many clubs, and free transfers will be hugely appealing. Suleman fits the bill, especially for a team needing a centre back like Celtic.

Neil Lennon needs depth to support Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien. Nir Bitton can fill in there, but Jozo Simunovic is out of contract this summer.
21-year-old Suleman could slot in as a replacement for Simunovic, without needing to spend on him. The battle with Brighton won’t be easy, given the Premier League football on offer, but he certainly makes sense for Celtic.
