Celtic are reportedly hoping to land Jeremie Frimpong today.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic are pursuing a late move for Manchester City youngster Jeremie Frimpong before tonight’s transfer deadline.
The Bhoys are working hard with potential arrivals, with Moritz Bauer and Mohamed Elyounoussi arriving in recent days and Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor to follow according to the Daily Record.
Those are all first-team arrivals for the Bhoys, but they’ve also taken a look towards the future with some signings – and another prospect is allegedly wanted.
City right back Frimpong is on the radar, with the 18-year-old potentially on the verge of a move to Parkhead before tonight’s midnight deadline.
Frimpong picked up some promising attacking numbers as a full back last season, notching three goals and three assists for City at youth level.
The Dutch teenager is now wanted by Celtic permanently, with relations between the two clubs seemingly still strong after many deals between the two sides in recent times.

Jason Denayer, John Guidetti, Dedryck Boyata, Olivier Ntcham, Patrick Roberts and Daniel Arzani are just some of the players to join Celtic from City, and Frimpong may now join them.
That would be another promising deal for the future, with the Dutchman possibly joining fellow new recruits Luca Connell, Tobi Oluwayemi, Leo Hjelde, Liam Burt and Jonathan Afolabi in the development ranks.
