According to Actufoot, Celtic are interested in signing Rodez youngster Sory Doumbouya – but face a battle with two Swiss clubs.
Doumbouya only joined Rodez over the summer, having previously been with Gueugnon, Dijon and AS Saint-Priest in France.
The 21-year-old is allegedly being ‘observed abroad’, with Basel and Sion both taking interest in signing Doumbouya in 2021.
Celtic have also enquired about Doumbouya, in what appears to be something of a strange rumour given that the striker is something of an unknown.
He has been bouncing around the lower reaches of French football, and is currently playing Rodez B, who feature in the fifth-tier of French football.
Doumbouya can play for Guinea, and Celtic have had a couple of success stories with Guinean players at Parkhead in years gone by.

Bobo Balde was the main one, as the defender became a hero at Celtic having arrived from Toulouse in 2001, whilst Mo Sylla arrived from St Johnstone in the same year.
Almost 20 years on, Celtic could bring another Guinean to Glasgow, and will seemingly keep tabs on Doumbouya over the coming months in the hope of unearthing a gem.
