Celtic are planning to give Albian Ajeti a tour of Parkhead today, as his transfer to Neil Lennon’s side draws ever closer, the Daily Record report.
Celtic have agreed a £5 million fee with West Ham United to take the 23-year-old striker on a permanent basis.
It was expected that Celtic would sign Ajeti on loan, but it now seems that he will join on a long-term deal, after the two sides have agreed a fee.
Celtic still not to sit down with Ateji and thrash out a deal, but the Bhoys are now expected to complete the transfer in the very near future.
The Swiss international will actually travel to Glasgow today, where he will be shown around Lennoxtown and Parkhead.
Ajeti will arrive at Celtic with a point to prove, after being frozen out at West Ham.
The former Basel man only moved to the London Stadium last summer, but he was barely given a chance by the Hammers.
Ajeti failed to score in any of his 12 appearances for David Moyes’s side, and Celtic will hope that goalscoring drought has not affected his confidence too badly.
Ajeti was previously prolific in the Swiss league, and Celtic will want the striker to find his shooting boots again in Glasgow.
