According to The Sun, Celtic want to sign Wigan Athletic striker Kyle Joseph this summer – but face a real battle to land him.
It’s claimed that the Bhoys are hoping to bring Joseph to Parkhead this summer, though Sheffield United are also looking to sign him.
Leicester want him as well, meaning Celtic would have to beat Brendan Rodgers to his signature if they want to land Joseph this summer.
Wigan are heading into administration, meaning that players may be flogged in order to raise funds – and Celtic want Joseph as well as Joe Gelhardt.
Joseph, 18, hit two goals in three FA Youth Cup games this season, and his displays appear to have attracted Celtic’s interest.
Joseph is a Scotland youth international with one goals in eight caps across various youth levels. He may well feel that a move to a huge Scottish club like Celtic could enhance his international career.

A 6ft 1in centre forward, Joseph could be one for the future, and Wigan’s financial situation means Celtic may not have to stump up a big fee.
Developing a young Scottish striker behind the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Patryk Klimala could really help Celtic down the line – especially at a bargain price.
