The Queens Park Rangers star could reportedly leave for nothing due to a clause in his contract, which could be music to the ears of Celtic and Sunderland bosses, Brendan Rodgers and David Moyes.
Celtic and Sunderland are among the clubs showing interest in Queens Park Rangers defender Nedum Onuoha, according to the Daily Mail.
Onuoha has played in all but one of QPR’s Championship fixtures this season, however, it is claimed the 30-year-old has a clause in his contract which would allow him to leave on a free transfer – despite it having another 18 months to run.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has allowed one centre-back to leave already this month, with Eoghan O’Connell joining Walsall on loan. And, with the deals of Kolo Toure and Efe Ambrose also set to expire in June, interest from the Bhoys would certainly make sense.

Despite looking unlikely following Sunderland’s capture of Joleon Lescott on Tuesday, a Black Cats move for Onuoha – who once spent a season on loan at the Stadium of Light – may also be on the cards if wanted man Lamine Kone is sold before next week’s deadline.
Sunderland boss David Moyes is a long-term admirer of the player, it seems, having tried to sign him for Everton, according to the Daily Mail.

Onuoha boasts a decade’s worth of Premier League experience, while his ability to play right-back may also appeal to the respective managers of Celtic and Sunderland.
Would QPR’s Onuoha be a good signing for Celtic/Sunderland?
