Charlton Athletic midfielder Joe Aribo could reportedly move to the Scottish Premiership with Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers going head to head.

Rangers beat Old Firm rivals Celtic on Sunday and now they are hoping to win the race for Charlton Athletic midfielder Joe Aribo ahead of their Glasgow neighbours, according to Goal.
The 22-year-old midfielder is out of contract this summer and it appears increasingly likely that his time at The Valley is coming to an end, even if The Addicks are promoted back to the Championship via the League One play-offs.
According to The Mail, Premier League champions Manchester City are looking to beat Arsenal to the signature of the highly-rated Aribo, who has scored 10 goals from midfield for Charlton during the 2018/19 campaign.
But City and Arsenal will face competition from north of the border too. Goal claims that Celtic and Rangers are both in the race with the former Staines Town youngster’s agent opening talks with potential suitors.

The report adds that Rennes want to take Aribo to France while Southampton, whose manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has a fine record when it comes to unearthing young talents, have also emerged as a candidate.
Aribo remains very highly-rated at Charlton and was likened to former Arsenal and France great Patrick Vieira by former manager Karl Robinson in 2016.
