Shankland is leaving Ayr United this summer, as the 23-year-old striker himself has revealed on Twitter.
The Chronicle has claimed that Old Firm duo Celtic and Rangers are interested in securing the services of the Ayr United striker.
The Scottish Sun has reported of interest in the former Scotland Under-21 international from Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, Swansea City and Hull City.

Shankland is a very talented and promising young striker, and the 23-year-old’s performances for Ayr over the past two seasons have been superb.
According to The Scottish Sun, the Scottish striker scored 63 goals in 74 matches since joining Ayr in 2017.
The striker scored 24 goals and provided five assists in the Scottish Championship this season, according to BBC Sport, but he failed to guide Ayr to promotion to the Scottish Premiership via the Scottish Championship playoffs.
