Celtic have made a bid for Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull, according to BBC Sport.

It has been reported that Barnsley – who will play in the Championship next season after winning promotion from League One – have also made an offer to Motherwell for the 19-year-old as well.

According to the report, both Celtic and Barnsley made the offers in the last 24 hours, and Motherwell have turned down both of them.

One offer is claimed to be worth £2 million, but Scottish Premiership club Motherwell reportedly want £3m for the Scotland Under-21 international midfielder.

Promising talent

Turnbull is one of the best and most promising young midfielders in Scotland, and the Motherwell star’s performances this season were brilliant.

According to BBC Sport, the 19-year-old midfielder scored 15 goals and provided five assists in the Scottish Premiership for Motherwell this season.

Turnbull is one of the future, and if £3m is what it takes to bring him to Celtic Park, then the Glasgow giants should simply pay that transfer fee.
